Midwifery and Doula Training Winter 2023

Birth work is a calling.

This work is all heart, hands, and being truly in service to others.

This magical combination inspires deep joy and meaning to life.

Now more than ever, we need connection. Connection happens when we are witnessed, heard, and heart centered. This work demands intuition, awareness, and self examination.

Birth work calls us to be utterly present in the moment.

It’s a gift to be part of such a profound time in a person’s life.

It’s my vision to nurture a powerful community network of support for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I want all women, birthing people, and partners to get the support they need and deserve during this transformative experience.

These will be 2 long weekends and full days. More specifics on times will be announced but plan approx 9am-6:30pm, Saturday’s will likely go into the evening and we will finish a little earlier on Sunday’s.

I will feed you bomb food each day.

Completion of this class will give you a clear understanding of midwifery & doula work and help you explore your heart connection to this work. You will receive some foundational knowledge  of normal pregnancy, birth and postpartum.  You will learn how to talk with families about their birth dreams and create a postpartum plan. You will learn the skills of the Birth Doula through labor support techniques and the Stages of Labor. You learn the ways of the Postpartum Doula and special offerings that are so deeply nourishing to the healing process of birth.

We will discuss tactical ways of integrating this work into your life.

You will receive a Doula Certification Card and feel confident in offering your services as a doula.

Thank you for your interest and please let me know if you have any questions.

Look forward to our time together.

Warmly,  LD
